Out Edgefield Road, a shopping strip that no longer exists and has been likely replaced with shinier and brighter chain stores. MJ's has a bit of a western storefront vibe going on there. Why the green edging on the left couldn't stretch all the way down to meet the shelter over the sildewalk I don't know. Everything about Shoppes wants so much to be a respectable establishment--why else the spelling--but the various asymmetries on a building that, by virtue of its simplicity, demands symmetry, are haunting.
