At Silver Dollar City, in Branson, Missouri, they may have had a brief staged robbery of the kiddie train. And even with that staged robbery, the ride was short enough that I felt like I hadn't really been anywhere. And I hadn't. I gathered the principle purpose of the ride was to give adults a place to sit for an unfrenzied few minutes.
