Downtown, 2019, The Westin Building
The Westin Peachtree Plaza, designed by John Portman, completed in 1976.

I had ignored the Westin building until several years ago, when I became determined to get what I would consider for myself a good shot of it, which I decided was this one which shows a fractured sliver of another downtown building reflected in it, and captures the adjoining narrow tower so that the two appear merged and throw off the circularity of the large tower.
A reason I finally became interested in capturing an image of the Westin building was after watching Sharky's Machine to see if there might be a connection to Eyes Wide Shut and the coffee shop being named Sharky's (I think it's possible and at the time I wrote up a little piece on it and the connections that can be made). The building having been completed 5 years before Sharky's Machine, it was a feature--especially for the freefall stunt of Dar Robinson out a "broken" window.
Anyway, out of the many images I took of the Westin Building, that's why I chose this as "the" one--the fracture of reflected skyscraper and, in high contrast, the skewed circularity. Oh, plus the pale aqua tint I left on several of the windows. Having clear blue skies the day of this shot worked in its favor.
