   I was walking down Macdougal today and I approached West 8th. I’d never been there before but I got this strange feeling like I had seen this area in a movie, that perhaps Eyes Wide Shut may have been filmed there. Although I later found out that most of the ‘Greenwich Village’ scenes were filmed in London, I also found that I’m not the only one who senses a resemblance!

   Thanks for leaving your comment. Looking for possible inspirations was a good deal of fun and gave a peculiar kind of dreamy deja vu, for they weren’t filming on location and didn’t do exact recreations, but one feels bits and pieces drifting out of the set on these streets.
