Televised Dinner Theater of Mortals and Gods
The inspiration for this series goes back to when I must have been around eleven years of age and I saw on PBS a black-and-white studio production of what was likely "Antigone". It was terrible image quality but that seemed to make it all the more riveting and immediate, as if something ancient but ever-living and ongoing was scratching its way through the centuries for its story to be seen and heard. That production, whatever it was, remained with me and influenced my early work on theater, and even my early novels. It remains with me still.
