We've never cared about The Alamo. One of my great-grandmothers was a Crockett, but the Davy Crockett line is unrelated, and even if it was I wouldn't be a fan. Still, I thought it would be fun to sign "Crockett" in the guest book when we were there. Despite Texas' love for The Alamo, for some reason it was an uninspiring tour. Our son was bored as well. I was kind of peeved we couldn't take pictures inside the Alamo, not even without flash, but it was free to get in. So we spent money in the gift shop, because we were good tourists.
