"The Hitter" is on the marquee. It was released in 1979 and thus dates the photo. Located at 749 Broad St., the theater opened in 1917 as The Wells Theater, and was killed by the Spanish Flu pandemic and the closure of public venues. Sold to Lynch Enterprises, along with several other local theaters, it reopened as The Imperial. It closed in 1981 and was reopened in 1985 as a performing arts venue.
