Insane people say and do insane things

So South Dakota’s senate makes it the first state to pass an all out abortion ban. And Governor Rounds says he would look favorably on it if it would “save lives”. An argument which doesn’t begin to hold up when one considers the costs of life-sustaining therapies that take them out of reach of the majority. An argument that doesn’t begin to hold up on so many fronts that I can’t even begin to dialogue on it here.

From now on instead of any political posting whatsoever I’m just going to rename the blog “Insane People Say and Do Insane Things” and post links, no commentary, just links, like to the below two Hummer enthusiast sites which I had noted in a comment in one of my previous posts.

This link has people who love and customize their hummers.

Then there’s this lovely link of people who love their Hummers who have no shame at all in telling the world how their favorite past time is turning heads and mowing over the traffic during rush hour. Such as the guy named HummerBot who posted a pic of himself with his Hummer. He’s a really special kind of guy. And if I were you I’d memorize that face and change lanes if you notice him behind you on the highway.

The entry following him is a person who gets their thrills picking up the kids in the Hummer from school, because the teens go gaga over it.

These are seriously crazy people. Insane people say and do insane things. Their reasoning can’t be trusted. If you have to ask why, then you’re not right in the head either.

Anyway, from now on, I’m just posting links and pics and noting above or below, “They believe they are sane, but they’re not.” Something like that. Maybe I’ll do up a little card. Think up a club name for them. They can all be people of the same insane club who don’t know they have ID cards waiting for them here. Very specialized club to which they have no idea they belong. That’s how special it is. And is the truth of the matter, frankly. Because not a one of these individuals has a clue they’re bonkers. If they knew and admitted they were crazy then we might have some place to begin a dialogue with these people, but they don’t know they’re nuts. Or if they do they really like it and don’t care. They’re bonkers without boundaries which is what makes them so dangerous.
