The last day of the reunion one of my sisters invited us all over for a pool party at her subdivision, which was a great idea. 16 kids and 12 adults. Indeed, the pool was a great idea. The kids swam. Most of the adults congregated at the edge of the water and kept a split eye between the kids in the water (there were lifeguards and babysitters) and kids running around the tables and conversed as much as was possible. Then it was suddenly nine o’clock and time for the pool to close and I hurried to get what photos I could, having done next to no picture taking during the week. The three eldest nieces were congregated in the deep end of the pool, one of them next to one of the underwater pool lights and her legs and arms flashing in the light caught my attention. They were deep in niece world, giggling, diving, surfacing, diving and I wasn’t going to ask for a pose. I was only able to get a couple of pics of the niece by the light and hoped that one would give me something with which to work.
