H.o.p. is not a salesman, he says

H.o.p. in a shirt with his T Rex painting on it, courtesy his store at Cafe Press. This is the pic in which he is standing still for his mom.

And here he is being H.o.p. and unwittingly assuming a Shiva pose. (That’s Marty in the background fixing supper.)

And here he is with his Cafe Press “Hey Mouse” pillow (a painting from last year). Covering his face, of course.

H.o.p. initially protested when I asked him to get the shirt on for the camera and show off his pillow.

“But I’ll look like a salesman!” he said. “They hold stuff!”

Well, there’s something he learned from his mom and dad, an aversion to self-promotion. But I convinced him that his grandparents would love to see him in his shirt and would love to see his pillow.

He just handed me a picture of the stinky breath monster blowing his breath on numerous other characters and making them feel mad.

    Hi Idyll, HOP and Marty,

Hey that is not fair, H.O.P has longer hair than I do. Don’t worry you don’t look like a salesman. I love your shirt and is your Dad wearing one too?

Lizzy, there are few things “fair” in life. By the way, I just cut three inches off his hair about a month ago.

H.o.p. says, “Thank you for saying I don’t look like a salesman. My dad is wearing one of the shirts. He has a Hey Mouse one and a T Rex one.”

Those are probably the only two shirts his dad will wear from this week forth.

Idyll, you mean H.o.p.’s hair was even longer?? Well, at least you won’t be washing too many clothes. And tell H.o.p. he a very talented young man. And my daughter says to tell him that she is listening to Bernie Williams song “Enter the Bond” She just downloaded it on her iPod.

Oh yeah. It’s been long since he was little little. His dad has long hair. I’m surprised there are so few boys with long hair around. Maybe it’s because they get tired of being mistaken for girls. H.o.p. just replies to such people, “I’m a boy.”

We just looked up “Enter the Bond” on Amazon to listen to what they have of it. Tell your daughter H.o.p. says thanks for sharing that.

And thanks for the comment on H.o.p.’s talent. I told H.o.p. He said (and I quote), “Wow!”

(Every time we used to cut H.o.p.’s hair, Marty wanted to bag and save it for posterity. Became ridiculous after a point and I convinced him there was no reason to continue.)
