   I love this photograph….taken where you live, I think, but I can’t figure out the angle…it seems you would have had to stand on something to catch that light on the wood or above it….whatever…I really like it as it makes me wonder….and to wonder is grand…

   Gin, I combined your two comments together.

   There’s actually no wood. It looks like wood but it’s plain old painted plaster walls and ceiling. The sense of wood texturing comes from this particular lamp–though the lamp isn’t textured it has a strange shape and the bulb is encased in plastic. Plus the effect was augmented slightly by the some simulated cross photo processing.

   Wasn’t standing on anything, just was down low and taking the shot of the light shining on a painting on the wall by the door.
