   Of course, the Indian removal from the Southeast was not cast in terms of extending European style development and democracy as is the case with indigenous extermination under the IMF, World Bank, and National Endowment for Democracy. Authentic democracy that First Nations now pursue despite the First World onslaught is worth protecting, especially from rhetorical perversion that leads to institutional neglect.
