So I’m sitting here watching “Vegas in Space” (a Troma production) and they are showing an overhead shot of the…city…on the alien planet and a closer shot reveals all the buildings with their skyward soaring slim line architecture are fingernail polish bottles.
And a bracelet. One of the buildings is a bracelet.
I love this.
“Behold, Vega in Space! An oasis of glamor in a universe of mediocrity.”
Troma does Ayn Rand objectivism. Wheee!
“Whatever happens, don’t stop dancing. That’s how you can best save the universe.”
Seems as sound advice as any to me.
The movie is worth watching just to see the world’s color dial turned down and Queen Veneer escorting Capt. Tracey Daniels through a black an white desert landscape (“In these shoes?”) to her dark domain.
