My dad and my son at the Maswik Lodge food court at the Grand Canyon. I had tried for a photo of the guy in the knit cap on the left who was sitting there deep in study. It came out poorly. Then I realized I liked the 1/3 of my dad’s face and the cup that had shown up in the photo. I had another photo showing part of the table so I took those two and used them as a base along with a photo I’d grabbed of H.o.p. Had to reimagine most of my dad but I think I got it pretty well.

I just like the Maswik Lodge…the light, the lamps, the wood….the people dining there all being tourists taking a break from viewing the Grand Canyon and souls enlarged the grandeur and wonder of it all. It’s one of my favorite, feel good places in the world thus far.
